Each month Dr. Mark Wade and Interior Alaska Orthopedic and Sports Medicine presents the Scholar Athlete of the Month.
Dr. Wade honors a local high school student for their scholastic aptitude, outstanding athletic career, and dedication to their community. These students are peer elected and represent the very best from their school.

Marcus is a Wolfpack senior, a member of the National Honor Society, and has been on the honor roll fll four years of his high school career. He was captain of the Wolfpack varsity football team both his junior and senior year, and was the 2010 Varsity MVP. Marcus also serves his community as a Boy Scout. Marcus plans to attend college and earn a degree in
Trey is a Wolfpack senior who enjoys gootball, baseball and track and field. He's a memeber of the National Honor Society and has lettered four straight years in baseball and three years in football. Trey was also captain of the West Velley football team last year. Trey plans to attend college and continue playing sports while pursuing his education.
