FNSB School Board Election Results
There were three seats up for grabs on the Fairbanks North Star Borough School Board, all of which had contested races.
Tom Bartels earned election to Seat A on the School Board, garnering 57 percent of the vote over Ashley Strauch.
Bartels was appointed to fill Seat A when it was vacated by Lisa Gentry.
Allyson Lambert retains seat D.
She garnered 65 percent of the vote over challenger Blake Burley.
Meanwhile, in a three-way race, Sharon McConnell is elected to School Board Seat C.
She garnered 45 percent of the vote over Larry Morris, who collected 28 percent; and Jodi Rhoades, who gained 27 percent.
It's a return to the school board for McConnell, who says she is happy to bring more diversity to the group.
