KDJF, also known as Chet-FM, is Fairbanks' home for REAL COUNTRY. REAL COUNTRY is a distinctive Country radio format that combines the hits of legendary artists with songs by newer artists with a more traditional Country sound. The format embrace’s Country music’s roots and distances itself from contemporary stations by excluding cross-over pop songs. Workday mornings begin with the popular nationally syndicated “Rick and Bubba Show” followed by Fairbanks’ own Missy in the Mornings. Missy, a country girl at heart, plays the best REAL COUNTRY while providing local news, community notes, local weather and family-friendly material including in-studio guests. The rest of program schedule includes specialty programs like the Mid-Day Request show, The Road and the American Christian Music Review.
KFXF signed on the air on April 20, 1992 and is the Fox affiliate in Fairbanks. It's the home of FOX Primetime, FOX Sports, The Hawk Shop and Nanook Hockey. It operates on digital channel 7.1.
K13XD (branded KXD) signed on the air on August 7, 1996 and is the CBS affiliate for the Fairbanks area. It operates on digital channel 13.1. It can also be seen on 7.2. News 13 produces a daily newscast at 6PM each weekday.
